Ram Heavy Duty trucks feature heavy-duty four-wheel disc antilock brakes with large braking components. The Automatic Smart Exhaust Brake is also available for the diesel engine. If equipped, it kicks in when pressure is removed from the accelerator pedal and slows the truck down by supplying negative torque from the engine, making it ideal for use when towing a trailer or carrying a heavy load.
